About the Role
The Secondary Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires a focus on developing students' critical thinking and analytical skills in Social Studies, with a commitment to measurable academic outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons for Grade 10, aligned with the Cambridge curriculum standards. - Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and examinations. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide feedback to students and parents. - Develop and implement strategies to support students' individual learning needs and promote a positive learning environment. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Social Studies curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.
- Organize and supervise educational trips and activities related to Social Studies to enhance experiential learning. - Stay updated with the latest educational practices and integrate technology effectively into the classroom. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field. - B. Ed. with specialization in Social Studies or equivalent. - Proficiency in English language.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Education or Social Studies. - Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a similar role is advantageous.
