PGT - Chemistry

The PGT - Chemistry will be responsible for delivering high-quality Chemistry education to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires ownership of the Chemistry syllabus, development of engaging lesson plans, and assessment of student progress to achieve academic outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver comprehensive Chemistry lessons for Grade 10, adhering to the Cambridge curriculum standards. - Develop and implement engaging and interactive teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and interest in Chemistry. - Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback. - Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and report findings to stakeholders as required. - Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-disciplinary approaches and participate in departmental meetings.

- Organize and supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. - Provide additional academic support to students through remedial classes or one-on-one sessions as needed. - Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in Chemistry. Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and assessment methods.
