About the Role
The PRT - Mathematics will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to Grade 8 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires the teacher to create an engaging learning environment that promotes student understanding and application of mathematical concepts. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver daily mathematics lessons for Grade 8, adhering to the Cambridge curriculum standards. - Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities. - Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and feedback sessions. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide timely reports to parents and school administration. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the mathematics curriculum and share best teaching practices.
- Organize and participate in extracurricular activities and events that promote mathematics learning. - Ensure a safe and conducive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. - Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and contribute to school improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum. - Experience in using digital tools and resources for teaching mathematics. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, including fresh graduates with strong subject knowledge and teaching potential. Employment Details: Full-time position with standard school working hours and additional responsibilities as required by school events and activities. Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in line with industry standards.
