About the Role
The PGT - French will be responsible for delivering high-quality French language education to Grade 5 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role demands a commitment to fostering language proficiency and cultural appreciation among students. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging French lessons to Grade 5 students in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum. - Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback. - Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and styles. - Organize and participate in extracurricular activities that promote French language and culture. - Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the French language program and share best practices. - Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns. - Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated with educational trends and methodologies. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in French or a related field. - B. Ed or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in French language and familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in French or Education. - Experience teaching French at the primary or middle school level. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience is advantageous. Employment Details: Full-time position with standard school working hours and additional responsibilities as required.
