About the Role
The PGT - Science will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role demands a focus on student outcomes, curriculum implementation, and fostering a stimulating learning environment. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging science lessons for Grade 10, adhering to the Cambridge curriculum standards. - Evaluate and assess student progress through regular assignments, tests, and examinations. - Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and interest in science. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide constructive feedback. - Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and share best practices. - Organize and participate in extracurricular science activities and competitions.
- Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment in the laboratory and classroom. - Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns. Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Science or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum. - Certification in educational technology or digital teaching tools.
Experience Requirements: Prior teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory. Fresh graduates with strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching are encouraged to apply. Employment Details: Full-time position with standard school working hours. Participation in school events and meetings outside regular hours may be required. Salary Information: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
