About the Role
The PGT - Science will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to Grade 5 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires effective lesson planning, student assessment, and fostering a stimulating learning environment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the Cambridge curriculum for Grade 5 Science. - Conduct engaging and interactive science classes, utilizing diverse teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. - Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.
- Organize and supervise science-related activities, such as experiments and field trips, to enrich the learning experience. - Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns. - Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated with educational best practices. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field. - B. Ed or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum. - Experience in teaching science at the primary level. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience is advantageous. Employment Details: Full-time position based at The Westminster Academy International School. Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
