About the Role
The Computer Science Teacher for Grade 8 will be responsible for delivering the Cambridge curriculum effectively, ensuring students achieve academic success and develop critical thinking skills in computer science. The role requires planning, executing, and assessing lessons that engage and challenge students. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the Cambridge curriculum for Grade 8 Computer Science. - Conduct daily classes that are interactive, engaging, and tailored to the diverse learning needs of students. - Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing timely feedback. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. - Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning and development.
- Provide additional support and tutoring for students who require extra assistance. - Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns. - Stay updated with the latest developments in computer science education and integrate relevant advancements into teaching practices. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - B. Ed or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum. - Certification in educational technology or related areas. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a similar setting is advantageous.
