PGT - Social Science
About the Role
The PGT - Social Science will be responsible for delivering high-quality social science education to Grade 5 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role involves planning, executing, and assessing instructional activities that promote students' understanding and appreciation of social sciences. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the Cambridge curriculum standards for Grade 5 Social Science. - Conduct engaging and interactive classes that facilitate active learning and critical thinking. - Assess and evaluate students' progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects. - Maintain accurate records of students' academic performance and provide feedback to students and parents. - Participate in curriculum development and school events as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational environment and share best practices. - Provide additional support to students who require extra help in understanding the subject matter. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Social Science or a related field. - B. Ed or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Social Science or Education.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a Cambridge curriculum school is advantageous. Employment Details: Full-time position with standard school working hours. Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
