About the Role
The Secondary Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires the teacher to create an engaging learning environment, assess student progress, and contribute to the overall academic success of the science department. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver effective science lessons for Grade 9-10, aligned with the state board curriculum standards. - Develop and implement engaging instructional materials and activities that cater to diverse learning needs. - Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback. - Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians. - Participate in departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborative planning activities.
- Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment in the classroom. - Support extracurricular science-related activities and school events as required. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a similar setting is advantageous.
