About the Role
The PGT - Social Studies will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires a focus on student engagement, curriculum development, and assessment to achieve educational outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons for Grade 10, aligned with the Cambridge curriculum. - Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide feedback to students and parents. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices. - Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities related to Social Studies. - Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for all students. Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Social Studies or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in the Cambridge curriculum and assessment methods. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience teaching Social Studies at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with integrating technology into the classroom. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a Cambridge curriculum school is advantageous.
