About the Role
The PGT - Mathematics will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires a focus on student outcomes, including mastery of mathematical concepts and preparation for board examinations. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Cambridge curriculum for Grade 10 Mathematics. - Conduct daily classes, ensuring active student engagement and understanding of mathematical concepts. - Assess student performance through regular quizzes, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback. - Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities. - Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development initiatives. - Organize and supervise extracurricular activities related to mathematics, such as math clubs or competitions. - Stay updated with the latest educational trends and integrate relevant technology into the classroom. Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in the Cambridge curriculum framework.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level within the Cambridge curriculum. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to inspire and motivate students. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
