About the Role
The Science Teacher for Grade 8 will be responsible for delivering the Cambridge Science curriculum effectively, ensuring students achieve academic success and develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts. The role requires active engagement in lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Cambridge Science curriculum for Grade 8. - Conduct engaging and interactive science classes that cater to diverse learning styles. - Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations. - Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. - Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Organize and supervise science-related extracurricular activities and projects. - Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment in the classroom. - Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns. - Stay updated with the latest educational trends and integrate relevant technology into teaching. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum. - Postgraduate degree in Science or Education. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a similar setting is advantageous.
