About the Role
The Middle School Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for delivering the Social Studies curriculum to Grade 8 students, ensuring a thorough understanding of historical, geographical, and political concepts. The teacher will create an engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver effective Social Studies lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum for Grade 8. - Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and styles. - Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. - Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Organize and supervise educational trips and activities related to Social Studies. - Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and any concerns. - Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with educational best practices. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Education (B. Ed) with a specialization in Social Studies or related field. - Proficiency in English and Hindi. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Education or Social Studies.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and platforms. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a CBSE school is advantageous. Employment Details: This is a full-time position based at Sample International School, with standard school working hours and additional responsibilities as required.
