About the Role
The PGT - Mathematics will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum standards. The role requires the development of comprehensive lesson plans, assessment of student progress, and active contribution to the academic community. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for Grade 10 students in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum. - Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate student progress and understanding. - Provide individualized support to students to enhance their mathematical skills and confidence. - Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and activities. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in professional development sessions and contribute to curriculum development initiatives. - Organize and supervise extracurricular activities related to mathematics, such as math clubs or competitions. Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in the Cambridge curriculum and assessment methods. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with technology-enhanced learning tools and platforms. - Strong communication and organizational skills. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a similar setting is advantageous.
