Secondary Science Teacher
About the Role
The Secondary Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role involves planning, executing, and assessing instructional activities to promote student engagement and achievement in science. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the Cambridge curriculum for Grade 10 Science. - Conduct engaging and interactive classroom sessions to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of scientific concepts. - Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing timely feedback. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. - Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development initiatives. - Provide additional support and guidance to students as needed, including organizing extra classes or remedial sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and address any academic challenges. - Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns. - Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment in the classroom. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Science or Education.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum. - Experience in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a similar setting is advantageous. Employment Details: Full-time position with standard school working hours, including occasional after-school commitments for meetings or events.
