About the Role
The Secondary Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires effective lesson planning, student assessment, and fostering a stimulating learning environment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the Cambridge curriculum for Grade 10 Science. - Conduct engaging and interactive classroom sessions to facilitate student understanding and interest in scientific concepts. - Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.
- Organize and supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols are followed. - Provide additional academic support to students through remedial classes or one-on-one sessions as needed. - Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with educational best practices and curriculum changes. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Science or Education. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with any level of teaching experience, though prior experience in teaching Grade 10 Science is advantageous.
