About the Role
The PGT - Physical Education will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education instruction to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires developing students' physical abilities and promoting a healthy lifestyle through structured physical activities and sports. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum for Grade 10. - Assess and evaluate students' performance and progress in physical activities and sports. - Develop and implement a variety of sports and fitness programs to cater to different skill levels. - Organize and supervise school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities. - Maintain an inclusive and safe learning environment for all students. - Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate physical education with other subjects where applicable.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest trends in physical education. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding students' progress and any concerns. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field. - B. Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in the Cambridge curriculum and assessment methods. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Physical Education or Sports Science.
- Certification in first aid and CPR. - Experience in coaching or leading sports teams. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a Cambridge curriculum school is advantageous. Employment Details: Full-time position based at The Westminster Academy International School. Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
