About the Role
The PGT - Mathematics will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to the overall academic success of the students. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for Grade 10 students in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum. - Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and report on progress to students, parents, and school administration. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the mathematics curriculum and participate in departmental meetings. - Provide additional support and tutoring to students as needed to ensure academic success.
- Stay updated with the latest educational practices and integrate technology effectively into the classroom. - Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge. Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in the Cambridge curriculum and assessment methods. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level within the Cambridge curriculum.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively. - Familiarity with integrating technology into teaching practices. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a similar setting is advantageous. Employment Details: Full-time position with standard school working hours and additional responsibilities as required by the school administration. Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in line with industry standards.
