About the Role
The PGT - Science will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to Grade 10 students, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role demands a focus on student engagement, curriculum delivery, and measurable academic outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging and effective science lessons for Grade 10, aligned with the Cambridge curriculum standards. - Assess and evaluate student progress through regular tests, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback. - Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and interest in science. - Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. - Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning and development. - Organize and supervise laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Provide additional academic support to students through remedial classes or one-on-one sessions as needed. - Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns. - Contribute to school events and extracurricular activities related to the science department. Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Science or a related field. - B. Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum. - Experience in using digital tools and resources for teaching. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior teaching experience in a similar role is advantageous. Employment Details: Full-time position based at The Westminster Academy International School. Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
