About the Role
The Primary Teacher (PRT) for Pre-Primary at The Westminster Academy International School will be responsible for delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons to young learners. The role requires a focus on foundational skills, social development, and fostering a love for learning. The teacher will ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment that supports the holistic growth of each child. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute daily lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum for pre-primary students. - Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. - Assess and monitor student progress through observations and formative assessments, providing feedback to students and parents. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement age-appropriate learning activities and projects. - Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns. - Participate in professional development sessions and school meetings as required. - Ensure the safety and well-being of students during school hours. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Education (B. Ed) or equivalent. - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. - Strong understanding of early childhood education principles. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Additional certifications in early childhood education or related fields. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, though prior experience in a similar role is advantageous. Employment Details: Full-time position with standard school hours, including occasional after-school activities and meetings.
