About the Role
The TGT Mathematics teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to Grade 8 students, ensuring comprehension and mastery of the state curriculum. The role requires effective lesson planning, student assessment, and fostering a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the state curriculum for Grade 8 Mathematics. - Conduct daily classroom sessions, ensuring active student participation and engagement. - Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and examinations. - Provide additional support and tutoring to students requiring extra help. - Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the instructional environment and share best practices. - Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and progress. - Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field. - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) with a focus on Mathematics. - Proficiency in the state curriculum and educational standards.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Mathematics or Education. - Prior teaching experience in a similar role. Experience Requirements: Open to candidates with any level of experience, though prior teaching experience is advantageous. Employment Details: Full-time position with standard school working hours. Additional hours may be required for meetings and school events. Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in line with school policies.
